VINTAGE SHOPPING, DRAG SHOWS and WINE?! YUP. THE VINTAGE MARKETPLACE RETURNS TO THE
HAMILTON CONVENTION CENTRE on APRIL 14 and 15, 2018.
(March 13/Hamilton, ON) – After 5 successful years, the producers of The Vintage Marketplace are turning things upside down with the introduction of the VMP Drag Fashion Flaunt. Hamilton has a strong drag community, and what better way to celebrate days gone by than with classic acts and fashion?
Produced by Hamiltonians, The Vintage Marketplace is a 2-day shopping event, selling and celebrating vintage and vintage inspired collections and services. It welcomes a full spectrum of vendors and offerings including: furniture, clothing, home décor, jewellery, restoration, upcycled pieces, ads, memorabilia, and much more in between!
On April 14 and 15, attendees will be treated to the unique offering of a hybrid show, with 50+ vendors showcasing a variety of offerings. There will be something for everyone, as local sights, sounds and flavours are also featured. NEW this year, the Hamilton Vintage Community is hosting a POP UP within the show!
Berkeley North will provide attendees with sustenance and libations for a busy shopping day. Eye of Faith will treat guests to daily drag shows at 12pm & 2:30pm. DJ Donna Lovejoy will spin vinyl records of days’ past. Local act, The Vaudevillians, will perform each day. And Crows Nest Barber Shop will be there for shoppers who need beard or hair trims.
With The Painted Bench and Borondy Basara Realtors as Presenting Partners, The Vintage Marketplace is truly a community effort with an ever-expanding reach! Borondy Basara Realtors will also be hosting a VIP Wine Lounge.
The show runs Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15. VIP Shopping Hour is 10am to 11am Saturday only, giving shoppers first pick for a $10 entrance fee. Regular Shopping Hours are Saturday 11am-5pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm, with a $7 entrance fee. Those who would like to attend can purchase tickets in advance through Bruha.com or at the door.
