Light up the Christmas Tree of Hope
Kick off the holiday season at the annual Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting in Gore Park, hosted by the Downtown Hamilton BIA in partnership with the City of Hamilton. This festive event brings the community together for an evening filled with holiday cheer, free family-friendly activities, and the spirit of giving back. Here’s what’s in store:
🎅 Santa’s Arrival: Meet Santa himself and capture a memorable holiday photo!
👑 Beloved Winter Characters: Enjoy visits from two magical princesses, spreading holiday wonder for children and families.
🍬 Sweet Treats: Enjoy fresh maple taffy, a delicious winter treat that’s sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
🎶 Live Music: Soak in the festive sounds with live holiday music, adding to the magic of the evening.
🎠 Free Carousel Rides: Take a spin on the Christmas carousel! Rides are free from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on December 6th and will continue daily from December 7th to December 20th, noon to 8:00 PM (weather permitting). Please note that riders over 100 lbs are not permitted to ride a carousel horse, though adults can stand on the platform with their children.
✨ Tree Lighting Countdown: Don’t miss the highlight of the evening at 6:30 PM—the lighting of the tree that illuminates Gore Park and marks the start of the holiday season in downtown Hamilton.
