Hamilton to Celebrate Neurodiversity, Disabilities, and Community at Free Family Event
On Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 10am to 3pm, TB McQuesten Park will transform into a vibrant celebration of inclusion as Community Connection Day brings together individuals of all abilities, their families, caregivers, and community allies for a free, inclusive, and accessible event. By bringing together individuals of all backgrounds, the event provides connection, joy, and resources for those who often face barriers to belonging.
Created and organized by Meghan Graham, founder of the former Special Needs Resource Centre in Hamilton, Community Connection Day offers an inclusive event to connect, play, and experience. The event features an inclusive marketplace, accessible activities, live entertainment, a staffed calming tent for sensory breaks, and interactive booths from local organizations and companies.
“This is Hamilton’s day for ALL abilities,” says Graham. “We want to celebrate neurodivergence and disabilities, our families, and the people who love and support us.”
