MRG Live Unveils the Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival: Bringing the Burlington Waterfront to Life
MRG Live is proud to present the Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival, a free two-day outdoor celebration taking place Saturday, June 20th, from 11am-10:30pm and Sunday June 21st, from 11am- :30pm. The festival aims to transform the iconic Spencer Smith Park waterfront, known locally as a fan-favourite venue for live music, for two nights of incredible performances. Lakeshore Festival is designed to be a premier destination for world-class Canadian music and local artistry, providing an immersive community experience.
“It’s a privilege to partner with the City of Burlington, our incredible lineup of artists, and our trusted suppliers. Thanks to the generous support of our corporate partners, we’re able to bring this world-class entertainment experience to the community free of charge,” said Matt Gibbons, The MRG Group. “Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival is a true celebration of what happens when a city, its creative community, and its business leaders come together.”
The festival offers an exciting experience that brings Burlington’s scenic waterfront to life! Expect two stages that will host a curated lineup of nationally celebrated Canadian artists and emerging talent, spanning genres from rock and indie to blues and roots.
Musical performances on Saturday showcase the genre-blending, multi-instrumental talents of Burlington-based band Walk Off The Earth, known for their inventive reinterpretations, and signature five-people-playing-one-guitar videos that helped redefine viral music content. Walk off the Earth has consistently pushed creative boundaries both sonically and visually, generating billions of views across platforms and selling out venues and arenas around the world. Saturday will also see rising Canadian singer-songwriter Katie Tupper play the mainstage, with a soulful sound and introspective lyrics that have quickly earned national attention.
Sunday’s lineup brings high-energy rock to the stage with one of Canada’s most successful rock bands of the past decade. The Trews, celebrated for their anthemic hits and high-energy live performances, have earned 20 Top 10 Rock radio singles (three #1s) and multiple Gold and Platinum certified albums. They’ll be joined by Hamilton’s The Dirty Nil, a band known for delivering hard-hitting rock to its loyal fan base around the world, including performances supporting The Who, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, and many more.
